Prince Harry‘s 30th birthday is fast approaching, and along with it, the last vestiges of his bachelor days. The pressure to get married and have babies is increasing, and as much as Harry might want to run away, his responsibilities are just too important to shirk. Fortunately for him, he seems to genuinely adore his latest girlfriend, Camilla Thurlow, which will make it that much easier for him when he has to propose to her, get engaged and follow through with the marriage.
According to OK! Magazine, Harry will be receiving Princess Diana‘s wedding gown for his birthday. Apparently, Diana left the wedding gown to her sons in her will, but only after Harry turned 30. It’s currently in the possession of her brother, Charles Spencer, and will reportedly be sent over to Harry after his party.
‘Hey sweetheart, here’s a message from beyond the grave. Your mother wants you to get married. Here’s her dress. Give it to your girlfriend and get engaged.’
So romantic, no? Hopefully they won’t actually give him the dress that way, but that gown no doubt holds a lot of sentimental value for Harry. However, the royals will probably use it as emotional blackmail to get him to propose to Camilla. We’ve already begun hearing engagement and proposal rumors, and it’s very possible that we’ll see Harry and Camilla engaged and married before the end of next year – especially if the dress serves its purpose.
Honestly, he should be happy that he’s escaped the clutches of budding wannabe movie star, Cressida Bonas. Can you imagine if she agreed to marry him? He would have been stuck dealing with her Hollywood dreams while trying to accept his own royal responsibilities, and he might have wasted his mother’s dress on her. Instead, if he and Camilla do get engaged and married, that dress will be going to someone who’s very similar to his mother, in every respect. Camilla is a devoted philanthropist and she spends a lot of time on charity, just like Diana.
Unlike Harry’s previous girlfriends, she also seems to have a genuine interest in helping others, and she’s very anti-famewhore. Plus, she’s the first serious girlfriend that he’s had that actually fits the requirements to become a royal wife, and she also seems interested in the job.
