Selena Gomez and Justin Beiber are apparently back together… because of course. Earlier, Justin posted a syrupy sweet picture of himself and Selena with an equally nauseatingly sophomoric caption which we all could have done without, “love the way you look at me,” accompanying the pic.
For the record, I do not believe Selena is a druggie and I refuse to paint her as some sort of troubled young woman. Britney Murphy was troubled, Britney Spears was troubled, Selena is just a spoiled brat, and perhaps thats why she gravitates toward Justin Beiber. I think we have been putting her on a pedestal as if she could do so much better than Bieber, for a while I thought that as well, but it seems like these two deserve each other.
This appears to be just the latest in a string of questionable decisions since the singer canceled her remaining tour obligations instead opting for “me time.” What is hard to understand here, is her logic. Why wiggle out of professional obligations for me time only to surround yourself with Justin Beiber, endless partying, and of course the obligatory Disney starlet car wreck. If Selena needs help she should get it, but so far all she’s done is played hookey from work.
What I hate here is the the blatant un-professionalism, Selena Gomez hardly makes timeless hits and her voice leaves much to be desired. She’s pretty much surviving on fans who have watched her shows since she was a wee little one and her attractiveness – and of course her relationship with Justin Bieber. She’s no Whitney Houston though this back in forth with Justin Bieber is teetering on Bobby and Whitney madness… sans the talent. My point is this, Selena gets paid an obscene amount of money to lip sync and throw a hissy fit if the technology isn’t functioning well enough to do 90% of the work for her. That’s a pretty cushy gig that many talented people would appreciate. Hooking up with the little Prince Brat is hardly considered getting help.
Selena needs to do whatever she can to get herself mentally and physically well so that she can be productive, hanging out with Justin Beiber, alleged drug use and crashing cars will be counter productive in the end. My advice to Selena? You can have a relationship, but do your job, you can have issues take care of them and move on, but do. your. job.
