RECAP

Tyler Hoechlin and Meagan Tandy sit down with Jill Wagner to discuss their new on screen relationship, as well as what it takes to create a back story for a TV character. Given that this recent episode revealed that Lydia’s grandmother could possibly have some connection to the Benefactor, the dead pool, or something going on with the greater Beacon Hills drama, Jill asks the actors if we’re going to start seeing a bit more of Lydia’s past — and what makes (or made) her family tick. Tyler says, yes, definitely, but that he can’t reveal any more than that . . . because he doesn’t want to lose his job. He he.

Next, they discuss the introduction of The Desert Wolf, the codename which Malia’s rumored mother allegedly goes by. DJ Cole Plante thinks that, perhaps, The Desert Wolf could have some connection to the Mexican werewolf hunters — in some form or another. He thinks that this could be a potential story line for next season. Actually, this isn’t a bad theory. I can dig it.

Stiles receives Wolf Crush of the Week. Again, this is an absolutely pointless award, but it’s also very important.

Next, they play a game. It’s a three way tie.

Next, we get a bonus scene for next week’s episode. It shows Scott looking at a gun in Derek’s loft. They talk about his waning powers and Scott reveals to Derek that his name broke the third cipher. Scott worries about this, especially if the codes were picked out by a banshee. Scott tells Derek that he might be in danger. “Scott,” Derek says, “banshees don’t predict danger. They predict death.”

Finally, we get the trailer for next week’s episode! It’s going to be a good one. Be sure to come back here for your full recap!
