Everyone in Genoa City has a few secrets and skeletons in their closets. But, one secret in particular is about to come out on CBS’s daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. When Ian Ward breezed into Genoa City, disguised as a life coach named John Darwin, it was revealed that he had a past with Nikki. Paul and Nikki were involved with a cult when they were younger, and according to Nikki Ian Ward brainwashed her, held her against her will, raped her, and impregnated her with Dylan.
The Young and the Restless fans are beginning to question if Ian Ward is actually the father of Dylan, and for good reason. When Dylan threatened Ian Ward, Ian threw him for a loop and said, “If you kill me you will never know.” Later on he mocked Paul and commented as to how cute it was that he always was “coming to Nikki’s rescue.” He also made a strange comment to Paul, “You should thank me for the favor I did for you.” Paul has no idea what “favor” Ian is referring to.
Today on The Young and the Restless Ian asked to speak to Dylan behind closed doors at the police station, where he was being held for extortion charges against Nikki. Ian and Dylan had a conversation, but the viewers have no idea what was said between them.
It is beginning to look like Paul may be the actual father of Dylan, not Ian. What secret could Ian possibly have that involved Dylan, and Paul? And how else could the secret Ian is keeping have been a “favor” to Paul? The logical explanation appears to be that Paul actually got Nikki pregnant when she was in the cult, or before she joined, and Ian let Nikki blame her pregnancy on him. Paul was very young back then, so technically he could have thought he was doing him a favor by not fingering him as the father of Nikki’s child.
