Is Benedict Cumberbatch and his new wife on the verge of a divorce? The BBC One Sherlock star married Sophie Hunter in February 2015, and three months later she gave birth to their first child – Christopher. Benedict’s acting career has really taken off this year, but his marriage seems to be suffering from his success. Now, according to a new report – it will be a miracle if Benedict and Sophie make it to their one year wedding anniversary.
This week’s edition of Star Magazine reveals that Benedict and Sophie’s marriage is in trouble, and his wife is tired of feeling like she is the single parent of a three month old baby. An insider dished to Star Magazine, “They bicker all the time. Instead of his success bringing them joy, it has completely gone to his head. Even when Benedict is home, it is really only in body, not mind. Sophie just wants him to let up a little so that she doesn’t feel like a single parent.”
Benedict Cumberbatch does have a lot on his plate, in the past year his BBC One TV Show Sherlock’s fanbase has been growing by leaps and bounds, he became a married man, and a first time father to their newborn son Christopher. So, in the British actor’s defense – we can see why he would be a bit overwhelmed. However, at the end of the day his family shouldn’t be playing second fiddle to his career either. And, at this rate, Benedict Cumberbath’s career is only going to keep getting bigger – if he can’t find time for his family now, then he surely won’t be able to in the future.
