Is it possible that a three-year long cheating affair with an assistant Elyse Tirrell cause the breakup of Bobby Flay’s marriage to Stephanie March and the subsequent divorce? We know that the celebrity chef recently filed for divorce from his wife Stephanie March, but now there is new evidence and rumors published in the New York Post on Sunday, April 19 that alleges his bad habit of cheating, and a long affair ruined their happy marriage.
Actress Maia Mitchell claims that Bobby Flay was cheating on March with Elyse Tirrell, who first came to know Bobby as a waitress at his Bar American restaurant in New York City in 2008. After that, she came his personal assistant. Maia Mitchell alleges that Flay’s wife March, learned of the affair last November. She tells the post that, “She came to my house and was sobbing uncontrollably . I can’t believe the last 10 years of my life have been a lie.”
Sources are stated that Flay and March have attempted to work on their marriage, over the past few months, especially during the Holiday’s, but unfortunately things fell apart recently, when Tirrell began working at Bobby Flay’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival booth. Maia Mitchell goes on to tell the paper that Elyse Tirrell, “is about to become the Monica Lewinsky of the food world.”
When contacted, Bobby Flay’s camp responded by saying, “We will continue to refrain from responding to the continued efforts by certain to the continued efforts by certain parties to spread rumors and innuendo. This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other. It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that’s unfortunate. What’s even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a prenuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage.” Note that Bobby does not deny the affair….
To us, it sounds like the affair with Bobby Flay’s assistant really did occur. It makes perfect sense that the reason Bobby Flay and Stephanie March are getting a divorce is because of an alleged affair with an assistant. It is not the first time that something like this would happen, and it certainly will not be the last time. What do you think?
