Celine Dion Last Christmas With Dying Husband Rene Angelil: Facing Uncertain Future Together

Celine Dion Last Christmas With Dying Husband Rene Angelil: Facing Uncertain Future Together

Now that Celine Dion is done performing for the Christmas season, she has turned all of her attention to her dying husband Rene Angelil who is still battling cancer. Dion is inconsolable as she takes the lead in her husband’s medical treatment. Celine is afraid this will be her last Christmas with Rene and she wants to make sure to spend as much time together as possible.

A recent story about Celine Dion’s devotion to Rene was reported in the National Enquirer in their most recent publication. On Sunday, December 13 CDL reported that Celine was wrapping up her last show before taking a holiday hiatus. Dion will be off until December 30 so she can spend the Christmas holiday at home with her dying husband Rene Angelil.

Celine’s former manager-turned-husband first was diagnosed with cancer in 1998 when he had a tumor removed from his throat. The Canadian manager was thought to be recovered until the cancer came back, forcing Angelil to have another throat surgery in 2013. Celine’s husband has been fighting a battle with cancer ever since.

Sadly, it has been reported that Rene Angelil’s prognosis is not looking good and this is likely Dion’s last holiday season with her ailing husband. The Las Vegas superstar took an entire year off to be by Rene’s side and only returned to her Las Vegas residency back in August. Now Dion is taking a bit more time to be with her husband so their family can make this last year together special at their Las Vegas compound.

Celine Dion is reportedly returning to the stage in just over a week to resume her current residency. The powerful singer is only working because Rene wants her to keep singing since it helps to distract Celine from his serious illness.

The worried wife has been pulling off amazing performances despite the need to be with her dying husband. Celine is a master at channelling her emotion into song.
