As if Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi didn’t have enough to fight about, the troubled couple is now reportedly in the middle of a huge plastic surgery battle. Ellen and Portia are always rumored to be on the verge of a divorce, and the two women seem unable to agree on anything. The newest item on their list of topics to fight over? Talk show queen Ellen wants to get plastic surgery, and Portia is not okay with it!
Ellen DeGeneres is well on her way to 60 years old, and the years have really been catching up to her as of lately. Apparently, the 57 year old was planning on getting plastic surgery while The Ellen DeGeneres Show was on hiatus over the summer; however, her wife Portia talked her out of it. Now, Ellen is miserable and wishes that she had just gone ahead with the surgery and Portia hadn’t made such a huge fuss about it.
An insider dished to Life & Style Magazine, “Portia talked her out of it. Ellen regrets not having it done and thinks she missed the window of opportunity. She blames Portia. Now, she has to wait another year before she can get anything done.” According to L&S, Portia’s heart was in the right place – she has gotten a lot flack over the years because of her “hanging face” and didn’t want Ellen to endure the same bullying. But Ellen is very unhappy with her appearance right now and really wanted the wrinkles and bags around her eyes and her turkey neck removed.
At the end of the day, Ellen is a grown woman. She could have gotten the plastic surgery if that was what she truly wanted – there is no reason for her to be blaming her wife Portia. Then again, considering how much the couple fights, maybe Ellen was just trying to choose her battles and thought it would be easier to just not get plastic surgery rather than argue.
