George Clooney and his wife of four months, Amal Alamuddin, are on a fast-track to divorce according to rumors. In 2014 Clooney shocked the world by finally settling down after years of serial dating his way through Hollywood, and with a high-profile human rights attorney at that. But, Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney have little to nothing in common, and their difference in opinions and beliefs is already taking a toll on their short marriage. Not to mention the fact that neither of them is willing to stop working on their careers for five seconds and try to work on their relationship.
The only reason that Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney’s relationship has lasted this long is simply because they are never in the same place long enough to even officially break up, let alone discuss a divorce. It’s becoming evident that the not-so-happy couple is perfectly okay with the awkward limbo they are living in, and have no intentions of repairing their relationship anytime soon because in order to do that they would have to see each other face to face.
Not only is Amal not scaling back on her workload so that she can spend time with her husband George, she actually just took on even more work by accepting a job at Columbia University where she will be lecturing on Human Rights this Spring. And, George doesn’t seem to be slowing down either – and has a pretty hectic filming schedule set up for 2015. At this rate, George and Amal’s divorce is unavoidable. But, it is anyone’s guess when it will actually happen considering they are rarely in the same zip code, let alone country. It’s a big deal when they have dinner together…. Honestly, we’re not even sure how Amal and George can call their marriage a marriage, seeing as how they literally see each other for two or three days out of a month.
If you had to put money on it, when do you think Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney will get a divorce? Is there any chance they can save their marriage – or is it as good as over? Don’t you think that if Amal or George wanted to save their marriage one of them would be taking some time off from work by now to do so? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
