Kate Middleton Attends 2015 Trooping The Colour Beside Camilla Parker-Bowles: Plays With Prince George, Lost All Baby Weight

Kate Middleton made her first official public appearance since Princess Charlotte’s birth at Queen Elizabeth’s 2015 Trooping the Colour ceremony. It appears Queen Elizabeth won the quiet battle of wills and forced an end to the Duchess of Cambridge’s maternity leave and squabble with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

In the days of royal baby fever leading up to Princess Charlotte’s birth, Kate was said to be planning a longer maternity leave. The Duchess wanted to spend as much time enjoying quality moments with her growing family. Pals of the Princess claimed Kate Middleton “felt she came back too soon last time. She wants to have that [family] and enjoy it with George and the new baby.”

Since Princess Charlotte was born, the Middleton family has taken over and it appeared Kate was getting her way. Carole Middleton moved into Anmer Hall, Prince Charles is rumored to have only visited Princess Charlotte twice, and Prince William allegedly banned Camilla Parker-Bowles from seeing Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Carole and Kate have been reforming stuffy royal ways, angering Queen Elizabeth with their middle-class lifestyle and constant attempts to undermine her.

It appears Carole Middleton’s rule might be coming to an end. Queen Elizabeth has won this round – Kate Middleton ended her maternity leave, marked by her first official appearance since giving birth to Princess Charlotte. Kate attended the Trooping of Colour ceremony. The event is the Queen’s birthday parade, and for a while it looked like the Duchess would not attend. Maybe Kate wanted to enjoy her maternity leave and avoid Camilla Parker-Bowles, but whatever the reason, Kate Middleton attended the event.

Not only did the Duchess of Cambridge end her maternity leave early for Queen Elizabeth, Kate rode in the first barouche with the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles. Prince William rodes a horse in the procession with Prince Charles and Princess Anne. At least Kate Middleton had Prince Harry in the barouche to ease some of the rumored tension.

What do you think? Did Queen Elizabeth put her foot down and force Kate Middleton to attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony? Is she making the Duchess of Cambridge end her squabble with Camilla Parker-Bowles? Let us know in the comment section below.
