Maksim Chmerkovskiy has proposed marriage to Peta Murgatroyd. The “DWTS” co-stars got engaged on Saturday, December 5 during a performance of “SWAY: A Dance Trilogy.”
“She said yes” the photo Chmerkovskiy posted on Istagram was captioned. Of course Murgatroyd shared a snapshot on Instagram as well. In the photo the couple is sharing a kiss and the caption reads, “I said yes!!!!!! You have my heart forever my love. Love always wins @maksimc.” In the photo Peta shared you can see a very large diamond on her left-hand ring finger.
Maks got down on one knee but not before an emotional introduction to the proposal. “I’m in love with you, and I want to be in love with you for the rest of my life.” And Maks Chmerkovskiy brother Vals Chmerkovskiy is extremely happy for Peta and Maks. Vals posted congratulations on social media letting Peta Murgatroyd know she is now family and the engagement makes Peta his sister.
Peta and Maks began dating in 2012 and broke up but recently reunited. After calling off the relationship with Peta, Chmerkovskiy began dating “Dancing with the Stars” co-star Karina Smirnoff. The couple were engaged for 10 months before calling it quits. Maks then was in what some called a serious relationship with model Kate Upton.
But the dancing pros just couldn’t say away from each other. At the time of the reconciliation Peta Murgatroyd admitted that Maks is the most generous man she has ever met and that Chmerkovskiy makes her happy. Peta also said that Maks. And Chmerkovskiy made Murgatroyd a very happy woman in front of the cameras at “SWAY: Dance Trilogy” in Miami on Saturday night December 5.
The dancers obviously have not set a date for the wedding. Hopefully Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd will make it down the aisle. After calling of the Smirnoff engagement Maks revealed feelings of betrayal but gave no specific details as to why the engagement to Smirnoff ended. All Chmerkovskiy would say was, “I’m done. Let’s just leave it at I’m done.”
