Everyone in the world wants to know when the “Friends” reunion will happen, including the royal family. Not Kate Middleton though, The Duchess of Cambridge is waiting to find out when she will allowed to have friends again. Matt LeBlanc was recently a guest on the Conan show, and he discussed meeting Prince William and Prince Harry at a polo match in London. He claims that when they met, all Prince William and Prince Harry wanted to talk about was the possibility of a Friends reunion.
Matt told Conan, “All they want to know is when is the Friends reunion. That’s all they wanted to know about.” And then Conan asked Matt what he told them, to which Matt replied, “I told them to f**k off.”
I’m guessing Matt LeBlanc was being facetious there, because I genuinely doubt he told Prince Harry and Prince William to ‘f*** off’. Or if he did, kudos to him, because I can’t imagine being a B-list TV celebrity and swearing at the royal family, even in jest.
Granted, this does reaffirm the fact that Prince William and Prince Harry are as normal as you get in the royal family, which is also explained by their young and relative lack of royal stuffiness. They used to go out with friends, party, drink, watch regular TV shows, and hang out just like us plebeians. The only difference? They were the heirs to a centuries old monarchy, and the press won’t let them forget it.
Of course, rumors of a “Friends” reunion have dominated the media for a few years now, and the actors are always asked the question on almost every talk show or interview they conduct. It probably gets annoying for them, but for now, the answer to the possibility of a Friends reunion still remains a firm no.
