Rob Kardashian may have offered to donate a kidney to Lamar Odom if a transplant is necessary – but doctors may say no way since he is too fat and unhealthy according to reports. They’ll need to determine if it’s in Rob’s best interest even if he is a match for his brother-in-law. Doctors need to know if Kardashian’s body can function properly with only one kidney.
The young entrepreneur hasn’t been seen or heard from very much over the past several months – especially after photos of the young entrepreneur popped up in the media showing that he gained a significant amount of weight.
And a statement made by older sister Kim Kardashian also poses questions about Rob’s overall health. Kim once said, “Do I think [Rob] smokes weed, drinks beer, hangs out and plays video games with his friends all day long? Yes.” It is possible that even if the Lamar’s brother-in-law is a match his own health may not allow him to be a donor.
But Khloe Kardashian’s little brother has put aside all his personal differences with his sister and made the offer. An insider told The Daily Mail, “Rob is willing to do whatever it takes to help Lamar recover. If that means donating a kidney then so be it. Rob has a big heart and he’s willing to step up to help his friend.” A special report on the television show “The Doctors” also speculates that Rob Kardashian has already told his sister Khloe Kardashian he will be Lamar Odom’s kidney donor if necessary.
Lamar Odom and Rob Kardashian have been very close despite the estrangement between Khloe and the former NBA player. For a time Rob lived with Lamar and Khloe in their California mansion. Last week Rob shared a photo of him and Odom on Instagram with the caption, “Praying nonstop for my Brother!” Despite any hard feelings between the Kardashian siblings Rob appears to have vowed to be there for Lamar no matter what.
The most recent reports indicate that Lamar Odom has been moved to an undisclosed facility for rehabilitation. It is not known at this time if he is still on dialysis but doctors are monitoring Odom to determine what the best course of treatment will be. But if Lamar Odom needs a kidney transplant his brother-in-law Rob Kardashian is reportedly a willing donor if he is a match and healthy enough.
