Selena Gomez is working hard to promote her new album “Revival” which is set to drop in October 2015, and by “working hard” we mean that she is dropping her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s name every chance she gets and giving Jelena fans false hope that there could be a reconciliation in the near future.
Justin Bieber has made it pretty clear that he is over Selena Gomez, and he revealed this week on Ellen DeGeneres’s talk show that he is “single and ready to mingle.” Ironically, Selena gave an interview to Elle the next day and implied that there is still a chance she and Justin Bieber might get back together.
If you have followed Selena Gomez over the years then you know that when she is promoting a project or new music she leans on dating rumors to help her sell her singles. Remember her relationship with DJ Zedd, that turned out to be nothing more than a showman? It’s no secret that Justine Bieber and Selena Gomez’s relationship is over, but she is giving fans false hope that they could get back together – because she knows it will create a buzz in the media just in time for her album release date.
Selena Gomez had a chance to get back together with Biebs earlier this year, and instead she opted to party with Orlando Bloom. It is not a coincidence that she is suddenly open to the idea of a reconciliation just a few weeks before her album “Revival” is released. Selena sat down for an interview with Elle Magazine and opened up about her feelings for Justin.
Selena dished, “I’ll forever support him and love him in a way that… We grew up together. I think people want it to be different.” Shrugging off allegations of “drama,” Gomez says, “We’re too young for that. Nobody was married. There was no…. I respect him. And I think he respects me, in a healthy manner.” When the reporter asked Selena if there was a chance she and Biebs would get back together some day, Selena replied “I don’t know.” Really? We all know their relationship is dead in the water, but instead of shutting down the rumors – Selena is just egging them on by refusing to confirm that she and Justin are really over.
