He says his first memory was being so hot at the camp shoot in Atlanta and the water getting hotter after each take. He says it was awkward because he didn’t know anyone. He says Sarah Callies was really nice then Chris says – and you shot him in the head.

Chris asks when he knew it was a big deal. Chandler says they just go to work and shoot stuff then when he heard 12 million people were watching he was amazed. Chris talks about Chandler being on a panel at a convention when he was 11 and says he talked about the best weapon to be a flame thrower with a bayonet. Chandler says he loves meeting the fans. He says this was his first year at the San Diego con and says he and Andy and Steven walked around wearing Spiderman masks.

Chris asks if the show has trained him to survive the zombie apocalypse. Chandler says it’s weird being on the show and is so bizarre. He says he goes to public school and then works on the weekends. He says he goes to school and doesn’t do his homework like other kids. Chris asks if Gale picked Chandler and she says she had worked with him before and he was mature but could perform and thought he was a real actor, not a child actor. She says she knew he was committed enough.

Yvette has her notebook and Chris asks how it is to see Chandler grow up. She says he was this little ball of talent when he started and now he’s becoming a man and Enid is happening. Chris asks if the tree scene was awkward and Chandler says it was really awkward. He says he and Katelyn looked at the tree to see how they could both fit. He says it wasn’t a real tree – it was foam and they made it work. Chris says – yeah you did and Chandler laughs.

Chris asks Gale why introduce a romantic story line for Carl. Gale says there’s a girl there his own age and relative peace and calm in Alexandria plus Enid knows how it is out there. Chris says some fans think Enid isn’t who she says. He asks a poll question – Can Carl trust Enid? 70% of the fans say yes. Chris says there’s a behind the scenes look at tonight’s stunts.

He says he doesn’t know when the baby cries if he should try and calm it down or hand it to the mother. He says it’s twins and they switch halfway through the season and he gets sad when the babies change because he’s gets attached. Chris gives the fan a CD Run Mix and a tuna casserole. Gale says he’s torn because he has feelings for Jessie which is complicating his work and making him go too far. She says he wants to protect the group but isn’t doing as well as Carol right now. Yvette says it’s too soon for her for Rick to express feelings when he doesn’t know her.

She says Rick likes the idea of her and she’s a damsel in distress and he thinks this could be his chance to go back in time and have a mother for his kids. Yvette says it’s like he’s casting a role. Yvette says she thinks Rick and Michonne have more chemistry. Then she says Gabriel is a problem because he’s a person of faith who has no faith. She says he killed his flock by looking them out and he takes the collar off and on. She says he gets the strawberries and then rips apart the Bible.

She says he annoys the crap out of her then went to Deanna she was like – you’re talking about yourself. She says she loves the actor, hates the character. Chris says Melissa McBride will be on Talking Dead on the finale show. On #TalkingDead, Chris Hardwick’s guests are Yvette Nicole Brown, Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd and Chandler Riggs (aka Carl). He says it’s twins and they switch halfway through the season and he gets sad when the babies change because he’s gets attached. Chris gives the fan a CD Run Mix and a tuna casserole.

On the behind the scenes info, we see that Andrew Lincoln says he was happy to have the fight scene and wanted it as raw, dirty and humiliating as possible. In the comics, the leader of Alexandria is a man named Douglas. The actress who plays Deanna, Tovah Feldshuh, says she hasn’t read the comics because she doesn’t want to know how the story line ends. Norman Reedus says being an Alexandria recruiter was the perfect way to get Daryl back outside. Then we see a quote from Claimer Joe – the saddest thing is an outdoor cat that thinks it’s an indoor cat.

The next poll question is – what is your favorite Carl moment – sitting in a tree, killing Shane, eating pudding. Chris mentions Chandler eating pudding at Comic-Con. Yvette says the pudding thing then says when he dropped the badge like a mic. The fans choose eating pudding. Killing Shane was second. Gale says Deanna isn’t afraid of Rick because she was in politics. Gale says the only place a person like Deanna could make that many bad decisions and keep going is Congress.

A Facebook person asks about the impact Daryl has on Aaron. Gale says they are kindred spirits and says neither wanted to go to the party. She says Aaron has told him that he can be himself and still fit in. Chris asks what Carl would want his job to be and Chandler says to be a runner with Glenn. He asks if Carl is dangerous. Chandler says he can be when he needs to be but isn’t a dangerous person in general. He says Carl has a conscience.

Chris asks if it’s advantageous for Carl to have essentially grown up in the apocalypse. Chandlers says Carl adapted quickly and grew into it. He shot Shane and it was no big deal. A caller asks Gale while Carol didn’t just kill Pete herself. Gale says Rick is in the function of a constable and in Carol and Rick’s world, banishment doesn’t work and Carol knows that since he tried it with her. She says Pete is the kind of guy who would make trouble outside the wall.

A Facebook fan asks how Carl is handling all the deaths. Chandler says Carl knows most people he knows will die and he accepts that like Beth did last season. We next get a behind the scenes look at the fight. Michael Traynor (Nicholas says Rick is talking with his fists). Corey loves the fight scene and is smiling with the blood. Michael says the stun guys just busted through the window. We see Rick and Pete’s stunt guys and Andy applauding them.

Chris says #KeepWalking was trending tonight. Chandler says Andy loves fight scenes and beating people up. He says it’s always fun with stunts and going at someone. Chandler says Carl didn’t take it personally when his dad knocked him away and knew there was no stopping him. Gale says Michonne had a flashback with Sasha out there but is now well integrated over her loss of Andrea and her son and has purpose. Sasha has purpose with killing walkers.

Yvette says Sasha doesn’t have a death wish but says she’s physically showing everyone that she will not cower like Tyreese and will clear a path. She says Sasha really thinks she can clear them all out. Chandler says losing his dad could push Carl over the edge. He says after he lost his mother, he spiraled until he murdered a guy. Chris says everyone is getting a cool t-shirt with Rick, Daryl, Michonne and Carl.

Poll question: Besides a kitchen timer, what is something awesome to throw at a walker? Firecrackers, Dodge balls or Nicholas. 79% voted for Nicholas. Now there’s a sneak peek at the season finale.

We see Pete answer his door and Carol comes in with a casserole. He asks why she’s there and she says she needs to go check on Tara. He tells her to get out. She tells him she could kill him right now and will. She says then who would believe I did it because I didn’t like you. She says no one. She says they would believe he tried to hurt her. She pulls the knife away from his neck.

Yvette says Carol yes. Chris says that dude wasn’t afraid of Rick but cowered from Carol. Gale says it’s 90 minutes of fantastic stuff. She says there will be blood, not all walker blood. A viewer asks Chandler what character would he be – wizard, warrior or healer. He says wizard and Chris high fives him. One asks Yvette if she would save Nicholas from a walker. She says she would walk away and laugh as she went. Chris says Yvette is so fruit but ruthless. Yvette says eye for an eye.

Yvette says in life you forgive people, in the zombie apocalypse no. Chris asks if Rick shaving his beard parallels Shane shaving his head then both getting violent. Gale says it’s nice to get rid of a beard. Gale says they’re starting the shoot for season six soon and says people will love the next one. Chris says this is Chandler’s first talk show and says he’s great. He says Jimmy Fallon should put him on. Chris wraps the show and says next week is the season finale with Scott Gimple, Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus plus a surprise cast member (likely whoever dies).

Quiz Answers:
