“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers tease that Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) will offer her support to Rick (Jacob Young) now that the news about Maya (Karla Mosley) is out. Caroline’s softness toward her ex is leading some B&B viewers to wonder if the writers are setting up a reunion between Caroline and Rick. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline are very much in love, but we should never count out the possibility that Caroline could find herself drawn to Rick. After all, Caroline was the one that wanted to fight for their marriage. Rick insisted that their relationship was over, but we all saw him getting a little wistful when he had to sign the divorce papers. It’s clear that Rick cares about Maya now, but he could still have deep, underlying feelings for Caroline. Perhaps Rick’s whole reason for turning to Maya again was to fill the void and numb the pain.
Rick flew into a rage every time he saw Ridge and Caroline together. It was already over between Caroline and Rick, but that didn’t stop him from bringing a gun to work and shooting up the place. That brings us to another good point. Ridge seems to be the root of a lot of Rick’s problems. It’s easy to see that their rivalry drives many storylines and there’s no reason to think Rick wouldn’t steal Caroline away from Ridge if he had the chance. Rick will do anything to gain the upper hand. Even if Rick isn’t in love with Caroline, he might be willing to make his move just so Ridge couldn’t have her.
Bradley Bell, the executive producer of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” has said that Maya’s current story is about love and tolerance. However, it’s very possible to be loving and tolerant toward someone without being in a romantic relationship with that person. Besides, even if Rick and Maya do get back together, there’s no guarantee it will last. No matter who you are or how you were born, there are always going to be problems. That’s especially true on soaps.
If Rick and Maya break up somewhere down the line, Caroline might support Rick again. There are a few rumblings that Caroline and Rick may even have an affair while they’re both in committed relationships. As happy as Ridge and Caroline are right now, it’s going to take something big to break them up. Caroline sleeping with Rick could be a major turnoff for Ridge. In the end, you never really know what’s going to happen on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Stay tuned to see what updates lie ahead in the romance department.
