“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that the revelation of Gabriel’s (Justin Hartley) secret will send shockwaves through Genoa City. Now that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) knows the truth, Y&R viewers are dying to see Victor’s (Eric Braeden) reaction to the news that Gabe is actually his son, Adam. However, Victor can be sneaky. Adam thinks he has his old man fooled, but that may not be the case at all. It’s possible that Victor already knows Gabriel’s true identity, but he’s been keeping it under wraps. “The Young and the Restless” rumors have been suggesting this idea for a while, but now we have a piece of evidence that might back it up.
On the Y&R episode airing Friday, July 31, Victor makes a comment to Nick (Joshua Morrow) that hints he may be more in the loop than he previously let on. Victor says, “This is the first time all my children are working at my company and it is good. When you stepped in, it was good.” Could Victor know that truly ALL of his kids are at Newman-Abbott? Perhaps Victor realizes Gabriel is actually Adam and he’s been playing him all along. Of course, Victor may just mean all of his living children, but it’s still something to think about.
As the conversation continues, Nick demands an explanation for the chaos with Jack (Peter Bergman). Victor replies, “I agree I have not been forthcoming, but I think I can trust you with the truth.” That’s another piece of potential proof. Victor is admitting that he’s been keeping some secrets of his own. Victor will undoubtedly stay quiet about the details until the time is right, but we’re at least learning more about what he knows.
Victor finishes by saying, “Jack Abbott fired the first shot and not in the park. I found out months ago he was trying to take me down and my company and I have worked hard to prevent it. He put up a serious threat to my business and I am doing everything I can do to protect my family and my business.”
Maybe Victor is alluding to the fact that he knows about Jack and Adam’s partnership to crush him. Victor has also talked about the Paragon Project being the instigator to this battle with Jack, but his latest statement implies there could be more to the story.
