“The Young and the Restless” spoilers indicate the show is going to take another shocking turn. It looks like the Y&R TPTB may have another jaw-dropping revelation for Sharon (Sharon Case) to swallow. Sharon’s biological father may be none other than Ian Ward (Ray Wise), according to the rumors. Y&R have figured out a timeline to explain the whole relationship to the viewers. Is it possible that creepy Ian Ward could be Sharon’s daddy?
Sharon has never really mentioned a father. Her mother, Doris (Karen Hensel) told her father left them many years ago. Sharon grew up without knowing any details about her father. It could explain why Ian Ward kidnapped Mariah at birth too. What if, Ian was watching Sharon from afar – to protect her or even harm to her? It doesn’t explain why he’d try to force Mariah to marry him. It is possible that wasn’t romantic in nature and let’s not forget that Ian is at least 1/2 crazy. Ian could have just wanted to solidify his family ties – mind you, in a rather disgusting manner.
Another reason for the revelation of Ian and Sharon’s relationship could be to bring Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) closer to Sharon. If they both had a tie to Ian Ward, maybe they could put aside their differences to band together against a common enemy – Ian. Nikki was raped by Ian years ago. She thought Ian could be her son, Dylan’s (Steve Burton) father. He didn’t stop there; he hit on young Summer Newman (Hunter King) too.
And, if that’s not bad enough, Ian framed Dylan for murdering him- while he was alive all along. If Ian turns out to be Sharon’s father, it could bring Nikki and Sharon closer together. Think about it – both didn’t know their fathers growing up, were rape victims, and had a child at a young age. It could be the beginning of reuniting Sharon into the Newman family – leading up to a Shick (Sharon and Nick) re-coupling. Especially AFTER Nick learns about Sage and Adam!
A few days ago, Ian (Fred) told Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) that his daughter was taken from him rather hastily. Ian told her he hasn’t spoken to this daughter for a very long time, and he longs for a connection with her. Was he speaking of Mariah or could he have a different daughter in Genoa City? And, if his daughter isn’t Sharon, could his daughter be Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) or Hilary (Mishael Morgan)?
