Has 19 Kids and Counting been renewed by TLC for another season despite Josh Duggar and his scandals? Reports show that 2016 filming has already started. But we have yet to get the official announcement from TLC on the renewal. But with a camera crew already back to work with the Duggar family, it should only be a short matter of time before the network confirms another season of 19 Kids and Counting.
The Hollywood Gossip is reporting that TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting is on the verge of being officially renewed. They have reported that TLC executive producer and general manger, Nancy Daniels stated, “We are still considering doing more but haven’t made a decision yet.”
This was back on January 7. Well, a week later the Duggar family was seen back in Arkansas with the same filming crew they’ve had in the past. The family was at Ridout Lumber to pickup supplies to build treehouse.
Radar spoke with the manager of Ridout Lumber, Jim Logsdon who revealed, “The production company from Nashville called me last week. It was the day before they wanted to come in and film. Then the normal camera guy for the family called me and then John David did. He [John David] sent over a list of things they needed to build a tree house. He wanted to make sure we have the stuff. We got it all together. Jana was really the one in charge. We asked her if she needed 4″ grooves or 8″ grooves and she knew the answer. She was the one giving all the instructions.”
If that isn’t a return to TLC, I don’t know what is. 19 Kids and Counting was suspended on May 22, 2015 when Josh Duggar gave his public apology for “acting inexcusably” in the midst of the allegations that came out regarding the reports of Josh Duggar molesting five girls. TLC announced that the show was canceled and that they would not be resuming production.
Now it seems that TLC might have changed their tune when they realized that the Duggar Family really does have a strong following, even after the scandal, if not a bigger one now. That of course would mean dollar signs for the network.
