Kate Middleton’s mother Carole Middleton has always had her own personal agenda in her daughters’ love lives. Just like she arranged for Kate Middleton to wait out those long years before Prince William’s marriage proposal, it looks like she’s meddled in her daughter’s affairs again, but this time with Pippa Middleton and James Matthews.
There’s new speculation that says Carole Middleton was the ‘mastermind’ between Pippa Middleton and James Matthews’ engagement. Apparently, Carole Middleton was pulling some strings behind the scenes as she “hoped for quite some time” that James Matthews would eventually pop the question to her younger daughter.
One source close to the Middletons dished about Carole Middleton’s involvement in Pippa Middleton’s engagement by saying, “This is something she has hoped for quite some time. She appears to be something of a mastermind in making this happen.”
Surely, this shouldn’t surprise anyone as Carole Middleton has worked hard to not only make herself a fixture on the London social scene, but to suck out as much publicity as she can for her family. Ever since Kate Middleton and Prince William tied the knot five years ago, the Middletons have constantly been making headlines for their love lives, their failed business attempts and of course, Carole Middleton’s rumored drinking problem.
It seems like nothing will stop them from chasing the celebrity spotlight, even though both Pippa Middleton and her brother James Middleton have failed to make a name for themselves having tried unsuccessfully several times. Pippa Middleton’s attempts to become a celebrity party planner have gone nowhere while James Middleton’s printed marshmallow business was a major flop, if not an embarrassment for the Middleton family.
Of course, there’s no doubt that this all doesn’t sit well with Kate Middleton, as her entire family can’t stop riding on her royal coattails. It sure doesn’t help that Carole Middleton has been orchestrating this all, as she’s apparently desperate to keep her family in the headlines, no matter what it takes.
Having one daughter marry the future King of England apparently isn’t enough for Carole Middleton, as she wants to see her other daughter Pippa Middleton marry someone with strong connections, too. The coming weeks will just prove how publicity-hungry Carole Middleton really is.
