‘Grey’s Anatomy’ spoilers for Season 12 Finale Episode 24 ‘Family Affair’ on Thursday, May 19 reveal it’s the big wedding day for Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone). Let’s hope it works out better than Owen’s last marriage… Here’s what else is coming.
Amelia is having some last minute jitters and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) tells her to “stuff her feelings in” and get on with it, but Amelia insists she’s “flipping out.” Meredith will promise Amelia that she’s there for her and will make sure things go the way she wants, no matter what that is.
Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) is also on hand with Meredith and Amelia while the bride-to-be tries to figure out if it’s cold feet or if she was too hasty when she proposed to Owen. Amelia will debate making a run for it and Meredith pledges to distract guests if need be. Will Amelia be a runaway bride?
Also, April Kepner (Sarah Drew) goes into labor with Ben Warren (Jason George) at her side. Will they notify Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) so he can be there when his child is born? Jackson portrayer Williams told TVLine that viewers should prepare for a “bigger climax” than even last year’s finale.
Williams added, “This finale is outrageous. The stakes are very, very high, particularly for Jackson and April. There’s a lot to be gained and a hell of a lot to lose.” Also of interest is that Debbie Allen, famed actor/dancer/producer, directed the Season 12 finale episode.
Jo Wilson (Camilla Ludington) will tell Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) that she’s been holding back and will explain why she will never say yes to a proposal from him – and will never marry. Plus, although Kyle Diaz (Wilmer Valderrama) died in Episode 23, yet another death is promised in the finale. But whose?
There’s also more Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) drama to come from the fallout of Arizona winning full custody. And, of course, we’ll have more of Meredith and Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) and see the aftermath of her first post-Derek hook up!
