Janet Jackson is pregnant with baby number one. Last month, the almost 50-year-old singer announced in a video that she was cancelling the second half of her tour so that she and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, could work on starting a family of their own. Better late than never!
Janet Jackson announced in her video, “We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.” The singer went on to apologize to her fans and explain that it was “doctor’s orders.”
Rumors began running rampant that Janet Jackson, who turns 50 on May 16, was pregnant with baby number one. But, it was unclear if by “doctors’ orders” she just meant that she had to take it easy because she was already pregnant, or trying to increase her odds of getting pregnant so late in the game. Regardless, now ET Online is confirming that Janet Jackson has a bun in the oven.
So, congratulations are in order for Janet, just in time for Mother’s Day! The singer still hasn’t spoken out on her pregnancy, which isn’t surprising seeing as how she hid her marriage to Wissam Al Mana for nearly a year. Besides, Janet Jackson’s pregnancy is most likely very high-risk considering her age – so she may not want to confirm the news until she is out of the woods and gets through her first trimester.
