Kate Middleton and Prince William’s 5-star getaway to France is one again upsetting Queen Elizabeth. While Queen Elizabeth is trying to scale back and save the monarchy and British tax payers money, Kate Middleton and Prince William’s spending habits are a major cause of concern for the royal family. Kate Middelton is already considered spoiled and lazy by millions of anti-monarchist Brits and a vacay like this one just makes them howl.
Kate Middleton and Prince William took their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte on a secret vacation, where the royal couple enjoyed 5-star service at a luxurious resort in the southwest of France. The couple stayed at the Hotel du Palais Biarritz after touching down at Pau-Pyrenees airport with their multi-million dollar private royal jet.
While there’s nothing wrong with a vacation, many critics believe Kate Middleton and Prince William don’t do enough work to help support their causes and charities as they are rarely in the public eye. In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have nothing left to do for the month of August as they don’t have any royal engagements scheduled until the end of the month.
This fact alone has critics blasting Kate Middleton and Prince William for doing very little while taking multiple vacations throughout the year.
If that weren’t enough, Queen Elizabeth is also worried about Kate Middleton and Prince William’s spending habits. It’s not enough that the Duchess loves to wear pricey designer clothes and insists on taking short helicopter rides when she could easily board a train instead, but this trip to the south of France is just further indication that Kate Middleton is tone-deaf to her critics.
Instead of stepping up their workload, the royal couple is taking pricey vacations so they can ‘escape’ from their mundane lifestyles back home at Amner Hall.
There’s no doubt that Queen Elizabeth is not only upset with all the press Kate Middleton and Prince William’s vacation has been getting, but the fact that it was so costly and exuberant as well. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles and Prince Harry don’t even take the kind of vacations the Duke and Duchess go on several times a year.
Yet, it doesn’t look like Kate Middleton and Prince William are willing to change their stubborn ways as they would rather satisfy their own comforts and needs than to listen to the Queen.
