The first photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been published! Pics of the couple were snapped as the prince and the actress did some holiday shopping and reportedly bought a Christmas tree for Harry’s Nottingham Cottage home.
The Sun got the jump on everyone else and published photos of Meghan and Harry as they walked amongst thousands of shoppers down Shaftesbury Avenue. The news outlet reports that onlookers were absolutely stunned as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walked down Piccadilly checking out the Christmas lights.
In the photos, Harry and Meghan are dressed very casually in knit hats and jeans as if they were just any ordinary couple out enjoying the day. The Sun sources revealed that Harry purchased tickets last-minute for the comedy ‘Peter Pan Wrong’ at the Apollo Theatre.
Apparently, Meghan flew in from Toronto on Monday, December 12 and headed straight for Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. This hop across the pond for Meghan comes about two weeks after Harry made a detour to Toronto following his tour of the Caribbean instead of flying straight home to England.
About that Christmas tree – the BBC reports that eagle-eyed employees at the Pines and Needles shop in Battersea recognized Harry and Meghan on Monday, December 12 as the couple looked for the perfect Christmas tree. The staff shared that Meghan and Harry purchased a six-foot Nordmann Fir.
The BBC sources report that one employee of the shop, Zaqia Crawford, an American, didn’t recognize the pair, even though Meghan stopped and chatted about missing food from home. “They knew exactly what they wanted – it wasn’t a long process. [Harry and Meghan] were really friendly, really nice…I didn’t know it was them at all.”
But a few employees at Pine and Needles weren’t so oblivious. A couple of blokes, Ollie Wilkinson and Cian Llewellyn, knew exactly who was at the stall buying that Nordmann Fir. Ollie and Cian say they gave some mistletoe to Harry and Meghan.
Cian recalls asking Meghan if she’d like some mistletoe and the ‘Suits’ actress replied, “Yes, that would be great.” Then Harry paid for the Christmas tree, slung it over his shoulder, held Meghan’s hand, and walked off.
Should Kate Middleton be prepared for Meghan Markle to join the Royal Family at Sandringham for Christmas? Or does Meghan plan to enjoy a quiet pre-Christmas celebration at Nottingham Terrace and then fly home to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with family and friends?
Maybe Prince William and Kate Middleton will invite Meghan Markle and Prince Harry over to the Cambridge’s apartment at Kensington Palace and enjoy a small family celebration with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Now that the first photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been published, is a Royal engagement announcement next? Maybe Kate Middleton helped Harry pick out the ring. It has been said the Duchess of Cambridge is one of Prince Harry’s closest advisors.
