Is Queen Elizabeth trying to force Prince Harry to break up with Meghan Markle? That might be the case as there are new reports that say the Queen doesn’t want an American divorcee princess in the monarchy. Prior to her romance with Prince Harry, 35-year-old Meghan Markle divorced Trevor Engelson in 2013.
The couple broke up after reports indicated the ‘Suits’ actress had an affair with Canadian ice hockey star Michael Del Zotto. Trevor was absolutely devastated when he found out that Meghan was secretly spending time with Michael behind his back.
It’s without a doubt that the Queen knows about Meghan’s scandalous past. She’s dealt with enough royal divorces in the monarchy and that’s why she wants Prince Harry to reconsider his romance with Meghan. Insiders say that the Queen wants Harry to find someone who will not only be a committed wife but a committed member of the British royal family as well.
Of course, the other reason why Queen Elizabeth doesn’t approve of Meghan Markle is because she’s a Hollywood actress. The Queen has made it clear so many times in the past that she doesn’t want the royal family to have a connection with Tinseltown. That’s because she’s no fan of the tabloid media and gossip magazines.
Then again, sources say that Prince Harry is head-over-heels in love with Meghan. There’s no way he’ll let her slip away. After unsuccessfully dating so many women in the past, Harry feels as though he’s finally met his perfect match. Queen Elizabeth might not approve of Meghan Markle, but there’s no way he’ll let the Queen or anyone else in the royal family get in the way of their romance.
Even though they’ve only been dating for a few short months, insiders say that Harry is already planning to propose to Meghan on Christmas day, regardless of whether or not his family approves.
What do you think? Is Queen Elizabeth trying to convince Prince Harry to dump Meghan Markle? Despite his grandmother’s disapproval, do you think Harry is going to propose to her anyway? If and when Harry does propose and marry Meghan, she’s going to have to leave her life in Hollywood behind for one in the monarchy instead. Let us know your thoughts in our comments section below.
