Queen Elizabeth is taking Kate Middleton’s PR crisis into her own hands and warning The Duchess of Cambridge against any wardrobe malfunctions on her upcoming Canada royal tour. Queen Elizabeth proved that she is indeed in control as she was spotted chauffeuring Kate Middleton through her Balmoral estate. Queen Elizabeth is no doubt worried about her grandson Prince William and Kate Middleton’s state of affairs.
That’s why she’s summoned the royal couple to her Balmoral estate before their upcoming trip to Canada with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Queen Elizabeth wants to make sure that Prince William and Kate Middleton treat their state trip as an official royal engagement, and not just another opportunity to show off the Duchess’ latest fashion choices or worse, another overseas vacation complete with Kate’s signature wardrobe malfunctions – after all Western Canada can be windy in Autumn.
Queen Elizabeth knows that an intervention is needed before her grandson and granddaughter-in-law create yet another royal embarrassment for the British monarchy.
After all, Kate Middleton and Prince William’s state trip to India and Bhutan earlier this year was highly criticized as another vacation cleverly disguised as a good will tour, not to mention Kate Middleton’s wardrobe malfunctions.
Prince William himself even said that he wanted to “make memories” at the Taj Mahal while Kate Middleton was slammed for shunning the Irish guards on Saint Patrick’s Day because she didn’t want to leave her children behind, yet left them at home in the care of nannies during their week-long trip to India and Bhutan.
Clearly, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s priorities are taking pointless, costly and irrelevant trips over their more important royal engagements, which has no doubt caused a lot of ire for Queen Elizabeth. That’s why the monarch wants to make send a message to Prince William and Kate Middleton that their trip to Canada shouldn’t be treated as yet another senseless vacation of the royal couple visiting sights with the Duchess looking once again bored.
It’s not enough that Prince William and Kate Middleton already have the reputation of being ‘the laziest couple’ in British royal history, but they are also putting the monarchy’s future at risk. Even at 90, Queen Elizabeth knows it’s time to step up and do something about her work-allergic grandson and his wife before they end up tarnishing her legacy.
