A Sex and the City 3 may be on the way! In a recent interview, leading lady Sarah Jessica Parker hinted towards a possible new installment that would chronicle the foursome. In recent years, Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon haven’t given Sex and the City fans much hope with their hot and cold answers for stepping back into their roles as Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes.
But this time around, Parker, who fans know best as Carrie Bradshaw, seems to be ready to return. If she’s game, maybe the rest of the ladies are ready too? Parker shared that a Sex and the City 3 is not on the table officially, just yet. But it is nearby according to the actress, in a warming draw.
Parker also mentioned that the wait is on someone who will have the talents and strength to create it. Sounds as though they are looking for a director. If they find the right person, Parker would like to do a third installment that sees the ladies looking ahead, something she imagined they would all want to do.
The last installment was released in 2010 and saw the girls on a trip to Abu Dhabi, where Samantha’s ex was in the midst of filming a new movie. It wasn’t a box office smash, but did garner positive acclaim from Sex and the City fans who have followed the show since it aired weekly on HBO.
Just last year in early summer, Sarah Jessica Parker shared that there were no plans for Sex and the City 3. It looks like things have turned around with a third installment a large possibility. SJP is currently working on the new series Divorce on HBO. When filming wraps, the actress could be ready to step back into the famous designer shoes of Carrie Bradshaw.
