“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that three marriages in Genoa City will face major obstacles in coming weeks’ episodes that could lead to splitsville. Are Sage and Nick, Sharon and Dylan, and Chelsea and Adam doomed to divorce court?
Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) will continue to focus on adopting Shawn Taylor’s (Devon Martinez) baby. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), however, thinks that Sage is being obsessive. Sage just overheard Nick telling pregnant Shawn to do what feels right to her.
But to Sage, that seems like Nick is encouraging Shawn to keep her baby and not allow Sage to adopt. What’s worse is that Nick will spend more time with Shawn in coming days and his Newman charm will make a major impression on the teen mom.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say look for Shawn to develop a big crush on Nick – and for Sage to take notice that her hoped-for baby mama is getting way too close to her hubby. Will Sage tell Nick if he interferes with the adoption they’re done? Will Shawn’s crush on Nick ruin the adoption and cause Sage to blame Nick?
With Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton), the issue in their marriage is also baby related. Even though Sharon and Dylan have worked through the troubles of Dylan testifying against Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) at trial, their kid-related drama is just starting.
Y&R fans know that Sharon is plagued by nightmares that have Dylan wondering if his wife is off her rocker again. And they haven’t yet been hit by the sucker punch of realizing Sully is not their child at all. Can their marriage survive the loss of Sully?
Think about it – poor Dylan has been chronically unlucky when it comes to kids. He had a miscarriage with Sharon and also with Avery. Plus, don’t forget that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) lied and told Dylan she was carrying his child. Can their marriage survive the ‘Sully is Christian’ baby drama?
Over at Chelsea and Adam Newman’s (Justin Hartley) place, the trouble is, as usual, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) who can be a big baby in his own right. Y&R spoilers tell us that we’ll soon see Victor offer Adam a deal that will put Chelsea’s hubby in the CEO seat at Newman Enterprises.
Too bad Chelsea was already packing for them to move to Chicago. She handled the Christian paternity truth with surprising acceptance but this reversal of their plans may be too much for Chelsea to accept. She wants Adam further from the Newmans, not closer.
But no way will Adam turn down the chance to sit behind his dad’s desk. Will Adam’s insistence to claim his birthright be the last straw for Chelsea? Will Chelsea finally kick Adam to the curb? We know Adam won’t be able to turn down the keys to the kingdom Victor offers…
What may be most interesting about these possible splits is the recoupling possibilities. Once Sage gets Christian back, Adam may want to raise their son together. Sharon could run back to Nick – they still have killer chemistry and we know Chelsea and Dylan have a past as well.
