The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Erupts in Court, Tries to Stop Victor’s Release – Stitch and Abby Decide on Baby

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, July 22, tease that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will seek help from Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). She’ll hope that Phyllis will support Victor’s (Eric Braeden) early release. Nikki will urge Phyllis to remember how Victor saved them from Ian’s (Ray Wise) clutches.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will also think Victor deserves his freedom, but Phyllis won’t budge. She’ll snarl that Victor hasn’t paid enough for his crimes. Once Jack (Peter Bergman) arrives, he’ll let Phyllis know that he’s in her corner.

Phyllis will wonder if Jack really means that. She’ll say she wants to crucify Victor in that courtroom. Jack won’t think that’s a good idea. He’ll suggest that Phyllis just needs to stay away from the proceedings, but she won’t back down.

In prison, Adam (Justin Hartley) will insist that he’s not on Victor’s side. Vic won’t think it matters. He has plenty of people who are willing to vouch for him. Adam will feel like Victor is manipulating his family. He’ll believe that Victor will stir up more trouble if this release pans out.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will grill Dylan (Steve Burton) about the missing journal entries. When Dylan doesn’t have any news, Chelsea will blast him for not trying hard enough. Later, Chelsea will argue with the Newmans just as court is about to begin. She’ll continue to gripe about Victor’s role in Adam’s predicament.

Victor will walk in and assure Chelsea that he’ll do whatever he can to assist his son. Chelsea won’t be certain that Victor will keep his word. She’ll storm out and visit Adam in prison. Adam will be surprised by Chelsea’s updates on her tense encounter with Victor, but he’ll be proud as well.

Talk will turn to Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). Chelsea will offer to bring their son by the state pen, but Adam won’t be on board. Back in the courtroom, the Newmans will gush about their love for their father. Nick, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Victoria will each make a spiel on the stand.

Nikki will point out that she had been drinking before Victor’s trial. She’ll think she was too harsh as a result. Nikki will mention Victor’s heroic actions when she was being held hostage with Phyllis. She’ll hope to show off Victor’s best attributes.

Victor will take the stand to discuss how much he values his family. When the judge asks if the victims have anything to say, Phyllis will march in the courtroom. She’ll intend on ripping Victor to shreds with her testimony.

It looks like Phyllis’ outburst could make a difference. My Monday, the judge will point out that Phyllis has made a compelling case to keep Victor locked up. Of course, there’s always a chance that a “but” could follow that statement. Stick with Y&R to see what the judge will decide.

Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby will speak with Stitch (Sean Carrigan) about her desire to focus on the future. She’ll think it would be nice if a baby was included in their plans. Stitch will avoid the conversation, but he’ll be willing to open up to Dylan later.

Stitch will confess that he’s not ready to have another child with Abby. He’s still trying to cope with everything he’s been through. Dylan will suggest that Stitch should keep an open mind when it comes to babies. He’ll believe that new additions can bring you out of dark places. Sully certainly brightens up Dylan’s life.

Meanwhile, Abby will confide in Sharon. She’ll discuss Stitch’s hesitancy to try for another kid. Sharon will believe that having another baby can help couples move past the heartbreak of a miscarriage.

At home, Stitch will look deep in thought as he gazes at presents they received before their child’s death. Will Stitch and Abby be able to get on the same page or is a divorce brewing? Stay tuned to see how the baby blues will affect his pairing.
