The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, July 21, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) will urge Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) to walk out of Summer’s (Hunter King) life. He’ll think Luca can show how much he loves Summer by leaving Genoa City. Luca won’t be on board with the idea, but Nick will persist.
Meanwhile, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will open up to Summer about separating from Jack (Peter Bergman). She’ll feel like sometimes love isn’t enough to overcome the different needs in a relationship. Luca will approach Summer and announce that he’s leaving town. He won’t want to cause drama between Summer and Victor (Eric Braeden) after his release.
Luca will state that he’ll be staying in a suite until he can leave for Madrid. When Summer realizes Nick was behind Luca’s decision, she’ll lash out at him. Summer will insist that she’s willing to stand by Luca in spite of any potential consequences at Newman. She’ll march to Luca’s suite and contend that they can make this work.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will ask Phyllis about what he learned from the pilot. He’ll wonder why Phyllis never took the company jet. Phyllis will reply that she flew commercial in an effort to cut costs. They’ll try to address some of their trust issues.
Once she’s alone, Phyllis will have flashbacks of Billy (Jason Thompson) and Jack. She’ll sink to the floor as tears roll down her face. At Billy’s house, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will demand answers about the Brash and Sassy sale. Billy will maintain that he’s not responsible. It was obviously a hostile takeover.
After Cane (Daniel Goddard) arrives, Billy will hurl accusations and throw a punch. Cane will throw one back and declare that this is all Billy’s fault. He left the company just waiting to be snatched up. It was going under thanks to the high volume of loans.
Victoria will believe she needs to be running Brash and Sassy. This company is her baby and she knows what works. Cane will ignore the suggestion and head off to tell Lily (Christel Khalil) his good news. She’ll be happy to hear that Cane is in charge of Chancellor’s new line. They’ll celebrate while Billy calls Jill (Jess Walton) and leaves an angry voicemail.
Jack will stop by Billy’s place later and hint that he was wrong about Phyllis’ deception. Billy will assure Jack that Phyllis wouldn’t intentionally hurt him. Jack will want Billy to come back to work at Jabot. He’ll think Billy and Phyllis should work together, but Billy will politely decline.
At the hospital, Y&R spoilers say Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will be fed up with Dr. Neville’s (Michael E. Knight) mistakes. Dr. Neville will try to convince them that Hilary needs his expertise. He’ll claim he might be Hilary’s last hope for survival.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will offer her support to Dr. Neville, but it won’t make any difference to Devon. He’ll indicate that they found a new doctor and that’s that. Hilary will learn she’s free to go and Devon will persuade her to come home with him.
Dr. Neville will be making his exit from the CBS soap next week. Does that mean Dr. Neville will simply leave town and let Hilary take her chances with her new doc? Stay tuned for updates on what’s in store.
