Angelina Jolie Grants Brad Pitt More Time With Children - Controlling The Visitation Schedule?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been locked in a passive-aggressive tit-for-tat fight over their divorce and custody of their six children, although both claim that they are proceeding with civility for the sake of said children.

One year ago, it seemed impossible that THE Brangelina would ever come to this point; the point of no return, where they trade spats using magazines and exchange insults thinly veiled in official statements. However, it seems clear that when it comes to the custody of their children, Angelina Jolie is ten steps ahead of the game.

While it is essentially their counselors & therapists who control visitation rights and frequency, sources have admitted that Angelina Jolie does have a lot of pull over this – especially as her children have spent their time post-plane incident entirely with her. Now, we don’t know what happened on that plane – but we do know that it was bad enough for Angelina to pack her bags, release a vague, unconfirmed statement referring to Brad’s substance abuse issues and anger management, and then drop off the face of the earth for a few weeks – save the media salvos, of course.

In the meantime, Brad Pitt has tried to save face in the media, albeit to little effect. His children reportedly don’t want to see him, and while he has allegedly had a few visitations with them – the most recent being over Christmas break – it seems that his eldest children are still giving him the cold shoulder, and the visits still remain rare.

Now, in the most recent issue of In Touch Magazine, sources claim these visits have become more frequent, explaining, “He’s recently had two different overnights with two kids without being monitored, and he’s hoping to have them for at least a week at a time by the end of February or early March.” However, the sources also add that the eldest sons, Pax and Maddox, remain hesitant, explaining, “Those relationships are still very tenuous, and Brad really hasn’t had a breakthrough with the boys yet.”

At the end of the day, all that matters is Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie somehow figuring out how to best co-parent their six children – and if Pax and Maddox can’t come to terms with it soon, then the custody agreement between Brad and Angelina will likely reflect that.
