Caitriona Balfe has made it pretty clear that she and her Outlander co-star Sam Heughan have incredible chemistry in front of the cameras. In fact, the Irish-born actress visibly blushed when she was asked why the romance scenes on Outlander are some of the best scenes on television.
During an interview with Stephen Colbert, Caitriona was directly asked why the Outlander romance scenes are so good. According to Caitriona, the answer is a simple one. That’s because Scottish men like her co-star Sam Hehghan make it so easy to get busy! By admitting this, Caitriona is making it no secret that she has the hots for her co-star.
For many Outlander fans, they aren’t surprised with Caitriona’s blunt answer. It has to be very easy for her on-screen alter ego Claire to get it on with Jamie, especially since Caitriona and Sam are so close. Not only are they co-stars, but they are good friends and according to some eagle-eyed fans, secret lovers. At least, that’s what they want to believe. They are both incredibly good looking, funny, talented and have the kind of chemistry that many actors and actresses in the entertainment industry wish they had. Simply put, there’s no other couple like Sam and Caitriona, both on and off screen.
At this point, fans want to know exactly what’s going on between Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. They are tired of all the speculation and games they are playing with the media. With all the back-and-forth flirting they do on the red carpet and during their joint interviews, it’s more than obvious that Sam and Caitriona enjoy each other’s company.
Plus, Outlander is being regarded as the most romantic series on the small screen right now. Clearly, Sam and Caitriona know what they are doing and according to their die-hard fans, they are doing it well. In addition, both Sam and Caitriona are very private about their personal lives. Even though they’ve been photographed hanging out at bars and rugby games, they refuse to confirm reports that they are a real-life couple. Yet for a lot of fans they know the truth will come out sooner or later.
