Camilla Parker-Bowles seduced Prince Charles simply because she wanted to make Andrew Parker-Bowles jealous after she found out that he was allegedly sleeping with Princess Anne. Camilla first began her romance with Prince Charles back in the early 1970’s when she and Andrew were still dating.
According to royal biographer Penny Juror, if it weren’t for Andrew’s cheating ways, then Camilla would have never pursued Charles. Camilla, who later went on to marry Andrew Parker-Bowles, simply wanted to get her revenge after she found out that her boyfriend was sleeping with a member of the royal family. That’s when Camilla had her first fling with Charles. And the rest as they say, is history.
In an extract from Penny Juror’s recently published book, The Duchess: The Untold Story, she wrote, “There was certainly an element of tit-for-tat in Camilla’s fling with Charles. Indeed, her principal motivation was to have some excitement and make Andrew jealous. She knew the affair with Charles would never go anywhere, could never go anywhere.”
Little did Camilla know that her little fling with Charles would end up becoming the most scandalous affair that has ever rocked the British royal family. To this very day there are people who still can’t forgive Camilla for destroying Princess Diana’s life and ultimately marrying her prince charming, Charles.
But for a lot of royal critics, this isn’t surprising. After all, Camilla Parker-Bowles has proven to be a woman who gets what she wants, whenever she wants it. Prince Charles went on to later marry Princess Diana but that didn’t’ stop Camilla from continuing their illicit affair. At the same time though, a lot of royal fans point out that could have simply walked away from her relationship with Andrew Parker-Bowles, especially since they weren’t married yet when she discovered that he was secretly seeing Princess Anne on the side. Yet, Camilla decided to take matters into her own hands by teaching him a lesson and having a secret relationship on her own.
Of course, Camilla Parker-Bowles has never made any comments about the alleged affair. She knows very well that she would be called out as a hypocrite. After all, many royal observers believe that Camilla is the reason why Prince Charles and Princess Diana ultimately pulled the plug on their marriage.
