Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of December 18-22 tease that we’ll see some Christmas bliss as well as some holiday heartbreak. First, let’s talk about several happy Salemites. The Horton tree-trimming party will take place as usual. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will be thrilled to welcome Eli (Lamon Archey) this year. He’ll be presented with his own ornament to hang on the tree.
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) will also enjoy a wonderful evening together. They’ll reaffirm their love and make some romantic Christmas memories. Speak of memories, Sonny (Freddie Smith) will fill Will (Chandler Massey) in on a few. When Will asks about their history as a couple, Sonny will tell him about all the ups and downs.
Meanwhile, John (Drake Hogestyn) will make this a Christmas to remember for Marlena (Deidre Hall). She’ll be stunned when he gives her an impressive gift. Days spoilers say John will put a lot of thought into this special present. He’ll hope that “Doc” will be pleased, but there’s no need for any doubt. Marlena will absolutely love it!
Unfortunately, not everyone will be feeling the holiday love. Days of Our Lives state that JJ (Casey Moss) won’t be able to get the shooting off his mind. Every time he closes his eyes, JJ sees himself gunning down Theo (Kyler Pettis). The sound of those fired shots constantly rings in his ears. JJ’s guilt is taking over his life and it’s only going to get worse in the week ahead.
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that JJ will give away his prized possessions. He’ll also write emotional letters to the people he loves most. JJ won’t want to leave anything left unsaid as he prepares for what’s next. He just won’t see how he can live if Theo’s not going to wake up.
It appears JJ’s grim behavior will lead to some suspicions. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will certainly be concerned about her son’s mental health. During a phone conversation, Jen will look nervous as JJ tells her he has to go. Once JJ hangs up, he’ll load his gun and get ready to commit suicide.
Thankfully, an unexpected DOOL visitor will prompt a change of heart. Jack (Matthew Ashford) will show up this week and this vision will ultimately convince JJ he’s making the wrong choice. Afterward, Gabi (Camila Banus) will help JJ learn to press on.
It turns out JJ has some good news headed his way. Days spoilers indicate that a Christmas miracle is coming up, so Theo’s going to pull through. We’ll give you updates as other DOOL details emerge.
