General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan) appears to have officially left daytime television behind. He’s worked on some new movies since he departed GH, but now he’s landed a primetime role. Craig has been hoping to score this kind of gig, so this is great news for the talented actor.
Based on Craig’s social media activity and apparent filming schedule, it seems he’ll be a series regular on a new CW show. Valor is military drama that begins with a failed helicopter pilot mission. Only two pilots remain after the botched attempt in Somalia. The CIA is called to investigate just before one missing pilot is located, but secrets unravel as they start another mission to rescue him.
This thriller will deliver some serious excitement when it debuts in the fall. As the show progresses, Craig could easily take on a more prominent role. That’s fairly typical, especially if fans approve of a particular character. Craig could have a bright future with Valor and other dramas like it.
With that in mind, General Hospital viewers shouldn’t expect a GH return for Craig. It looks like that ship may have sailed for good. Craig is obviously working hard on other projects and has no interest in a contract role at the ABC soap. He doesn’t want to be tied down when new opportunities present themselves.
If Morgan shows up alive one day, it will likely be in the form of a recast. We certainly can’t rule out a comeback for the character. Now that Steve Burton is filming again, it could open the door for a Morgan return. Sonny (Maurice Benard) will undoubtedly work closely with Burton’s character. They’re buddies in real life and Benard is heavily featured anyway. A big story for Burton means a big story for Benard.
Since Sonny’s family could get stuck in more turmoil, it might be nice for Morgan to return from the “dead.” Sonny may need some happiness to get him through it. Carly (Laura Wright) would love to have her son back as well. Morgan would surely cross paths with Burton’s character throughout all of this.
