General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that things are going to become too much for Franco (Roger Howarth.) The pressure is building and not just from one direction. Unresolved questions, secrets, lies, revelations and a killer past may push him past his breaking point. The results will not be pretty and could change Franco – and Port Charles – forever.
Franco is being hit with several troubling storylines and it is happening all at once. Consumed with the twin mystery is only one of the plot points. His relationship with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) will become strained. An upcoming character return, Steve Burton’s Patient Six, to Port Charles will complicate matters and he continues to be haunted by his past.
By themselves, each situation would be manageable. However, there is too much that will hit Franco at once. He is already struggling with his past. When all the mysteries, secrets and lies are exposed, it could release a monster that he might not be able to control.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Franco’s killer past will continue to be an issue.
Everyone has a dark side, certain compulsions that lie quietly under the surface. There it remains until something releases it. In Franco’s case, it was allegedly a brain tumor.
There is speculation that Franco’s demons won’t die because he subconsciously knows it is a part of him. Some believe that the brain tumor didn’t make him kill, it just dulled his impulse control. If the storyline was truly over and done with, Franco wouldn’t be struggling so much with it.
He is consumed with his demons and it is taking every ounce of strength for him to keep it together. The forced smile and haunted look in his eyes are hints of that. Now that he is painting again, certain memories could add to that, increasing his pain and inner turmoil. It is mentally and emotionally exhausting. There is also the issue that he hasn’t forgiven himself, which is preventing him from moving on with his life.
Let’s not forget about Franco and Liz’s relationship. He’s never been in love before and counts on her to keep him grounded. She makes him feel normal. However, with Steven Burton’s return on GH, that may complicate things.
General Hospital spoilers imply that it won’t be just one factor that causes Franco to unravel. It will be a combination of things. With this being said, it doesn’t mean he will go back to being a serial killer. That has already been done and resolved.
He is a truly complicated character with many layers. There is both good and evil inside of him. We have seen the good side and the bad side by themselves. What happens when both are used together and what will be the result?
