General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Griffin (Matt Cohen) and Ava (Maura West) will soon be closer than ever. They’re both feeling some sparks for very different reasons. Ava has been at her lowest over the past few months. She thought vodka was going to be her only friend until Griffin came along. He’s shown Ava real kindness without expecting anything in return.
Griffin is starting to see Ava in a different light as well. General Hospital spoilers state that his attraction to Ava will grow stronger in the coming weeks. Griffin seems to have a hero complex and he’s longing for a woman’s touch. He also senses that that there’s more to discover about Ava, so he’s looking forward to peeling back those layers.
Other GH characters will notice their developing bond. Next week, General Hospital spoilers say Sonny (Maurice Benard) will want to have a serious discussion with Griffin. Will he warn the doc to stay as far away from Ava as possible? Sonny knows that Griffin is a good guy who could be suckered by Ava’s victim act.
Of course, Griffin doesn’t feel like it’s an act at all. He might defend Ava and suggest that she’s paying for her mistakes. Griffin will think there’s value in forgiveness and atoning for past transgressions. He may point out that Ava never meant to set Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) disaster in motion.
If Ava had known the pill swap would lead to Morgan’s death, it’s doubtful she would’ve done it. Sonny won’t care about Ava’s intentions. His son is dead and he still believes Ava deserves a huge chunk of the blame. However, it appears Griffin will ignore any warnings he receives. He’s falling for Ava and he’ll have to admit it to himself on September 14.
Meanwhile, Ava will be a busy woman. Thanks to her romantic desires, she’ll take steps to prepare for her future. It sounds like Ava will reach out to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and try to get the ball rolling on her facial reconstructive surgery.
Unfortunately, this move could create some unforeseen complications. Griffin won’t like the idea of Ava getting tangled up in Valentin’s web. It could cause a setback for their relationship, but it’s nothing their strong feelings can’t overcome.
The heart wants what it wants, so Griffin may have to accept Ava’s wild streak and she may have to accept his judgemental side. It’s worth mentioning that there’s been some buzz about a potential Morgan recast. If Morgan eventually shows up alive, that could help undo some of the damage to Ava’s character.
