General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a possible departure could shake things up in Port Charles. There’s some buzz out there on social media that suggests one contract actor could make the decision to leave GH soon. If no deal is reached, this male performer may finish filming before the holiday break.
Of course, nobody should panic just yet. Nothing’s been confirmed and deals can always be reached at the last second, and even after that. Still, it’s a good idea to be prepared for what’s ahead. Let’s run through some of the options so you’ll know what to expect if this departure pans out.
General Hospital spoilers say Steve Burton (Patient Six, ex-Jason, future-Jason) and William deVry (Julian) aren’t going anywhere. GH locked them down for three years, so you can relax if one of those actors is your favorite. Billy Miller (Jason – future-Drew) also seems safe since his current storyline is nowhere near over.
Maurice Benard (Sonny) has indicated he’d like to stick around for another year or more. Since the actor in question wants out, Benard isn’t the right fit here. Chad Duell (Michael) tends to hang in there year after year, so we wouldn’t bet on him.
Ryan Paevey (Nathan) is always juggling side projects, but General Hospital seems willing to work with him on that. Now that Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) pregnant, Nathan may stick around to be the doting daddy and enjoy some hot storylines. “Naxie” fans want all those warm family moments.
Matt Cohen (Griffin) has had plenty of gripping material lately, so maybe he’ll stay to play more of it. This is certainly better than when he had no love interest and no real storyline. Donnell Turner (Curtis) is another potential departure, but he’s had more airtime lately as well. When GH is giving you good stuff, sometimes it’s best to stay on board and take advantage of it.
Now let’s talk about some more likely possibilities. Michael Easton (Finn) reportedly hoped to wiggle out of his contract a few months ago, but he ended up staying in PC. He’s not someone we should dismiss as a departure option now.
Of course, it’d be nice if General Hospital would allow more time for Finn’s exit. He deserves the chance to get real closure with Hayden (Rebecca Herbst). Let’s hope Finn sticks around so GH can fully revisit the baby drama down the road.
There was also some buzz about Dominic Zamprogna’s (Dante) potential departure a while back. It’s possible Zamprogna mulled it over and decided to step away. However, Anthony Montgomery (Andre) might be the guy to go with. His storyline seems to be winding down, so perhaps GH knew he intended to leave. That might be why they appear to be wrapping things up for Andre right now.
As soon as confirmation news comes in, we’ll be sure to give you updates. GH’s next exit could definitely create quite a stir. Stick with the ABC soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news.
