General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Port Charles will soon know which twin they should call Jason Morgan and which twin they should call Andrew Cain. There’s certainly a lot at stake for Patient Six (Steve Burton) and current Jason (Billy Miller). That goes for their allies as well. Since the big reveal is almost here, let’s break down the clues GH has provided and make predictions on what’s to come.
First, we should talk about Patient Six. After classic Jason’s face was revealed in Russia, it felt like GH wanted us to root for him. He fought so hard to get home and it was easy to feel sorry for him once he arrived. Patient Six became emotional over Danny’s (T.K. Weaver) toy and looked distraught over Sam’s latest romance. He was visibly upset over the time he lost.
General Hospital also wrote Miller’s character in a way that turned many viewers off. Patient Six saved Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) life and all he got in return was a death threat from his brother. Again, it felt like GH wanted the audience to cheer Patient Six on. He’s the less clingy twin who’s more interested in what Sam wants her own future to look like.
However, things started to shift a bit after Andre’s (Anthony Montgomery) revelation. He suggested that Patient Six came home to the people he BELIEVES are his family. That naturally made everyone think P6 might be Drew. GH flipped it again when Andre gave Franco (Roger Howarth) a document containing proof. It appears to have confirmed Patient Six as Jason.
Andre was likely either lying to Dr. Klein (Gene Farber) or lying to Franco. The point is GH intentionally left the door open for the two options. We should also discuss the reactions of Jason’s loved ones. As more and more people turned against Miller’s Jason, it became easier to have sympathy for him. That was obviously in preparation for the big reveal.
Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Michael (Chad Duell) all took Patient Six’s side immediately. It’s hard to watch current Jason suffer and not feel anything at all. No matter what the truth is, this guy believes he’s Jason through no fault of his own and his life is slowly falling apart. That’s heartbreaking!
Next, Kim (Tamara Braun) entered the picture and finally showed us someone who immediately assumed Patient Six was Drew. That was another way for GH to set up both possibilities as we inch closer to the Jason Morgan announcement.
Still, all those classic Jason reunions will be for nothing if P6 is actually Drew. Will the show just toss out those warm moments? Were the many tears and hugs over some stranger they’d never even met? It kind of erases those special bonds if Jason’s loved ones were fooled so easily.
General Hospital spoilers for the next couple weeks seem to swing the Jason reveal in Patient Six’s favor. There are several signs that current BM Jason’s world will be turned upside down after the truth comes out. Of course, anything can happen on the ABC soap. They’ve done their best to preserve the surprise, so keep watching for some shockers!
