Who is Joe Alwyn? Joe Alwyn is Taylor Swift’s new boyfriend according to multiple media reports. Less than a year after breaking up with British actor, Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift is ready to go public with her new boyfriend. The Sun UK has revealed that her newest love is also a British actor by the name of Joe Alwyn. He is still relatively unknown, but recently he had a breakout role in the critically acclaimed war drama, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk”, which also starred Taylor’s ex, Garrett Hedlund.
Joe, 26 is a London theater actor with just a few film credits to his name, although he is slated to appear in the upcoming film, “The Favourite” with Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone. He reportedly also still lives at home with his parents. We aren’t sure yet how the two met, but he and Taylor apparently have mutual friends and he is rumored to be friendly with Taylor’s best friend, model Lily Aldridge and her husband, Kings of Leon front man, Caleb Followill.
The pair have been dating for months, with Taylor renting a house in London to be closer to her new beau. Taylor has been out of the spotlight since performing her Super Bowl concert in February and has been wearing wigs to avoid being spotted or photographed in London.
The new couple decided to keep their romance under wraps because of the backlash Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston received after making their relationship so public last summer. Most of her fans believed the pop star disappeared to record her upcoming album, but never suspected she was dating anyone.
Incidentally, one of the few times Taylor was photographed this year was when she and her mother along with a few friends attended an Los Angeles screening of “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” last fall.
While Joe Alwyn’s dating history is unknown, Taylor Swift has made headlines for the past ten years with her numerous hookups and breakups. Just a few of her famous boyfriends include Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, and most recently Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston.
It was just this past summer that she and Calvin Harris feuded publicly over who wrote the lyrics to their song, “This Is What You Came For”, and Harris accused Taylor Swift of cheating on him with Tom Hiddleston.
