Kate Hudson might be friends with one ex, but it looks like she’s having a hard time getting along with another. There are new reports that say Kate’s ex-husband Chris Robinson wants a court to revisit their custody arrangement for their 13-year-old son, Ryder. The Black Crowes singer filed paperwork to reevaluate their agreement this week.
Kate and Chris pulled the plug on their marriage back in 2007. Since then, they’ve managed to split custody of their son Ryder. But it looks like Chris might be dealing with a change of heart as he’s looking to spend more time with his teenaged son.
According to People Magazine, court documents show that both Kate and Chris have agreed to undergo evaluation interviews. A court-appointed expert will determine which parent young Ryder should live with. Kate Hudson was also ordered to pay $7,500 for the evaluation after the agreement was signed in early February.
One document in the case stated, “The evaluator shall perform a child custody evaluation and issue a written report and make recommendations for use by the parents and the Court in developing a parenting plan that addresses legal custody and physical custody, including where the child shall reside and visitation orders based upon the best interests of the child.”
So does this mean that Chris and Kate are struggling to co-parent behind the scenes? Is Chris worried about Ryder’s safety and well-being while he’s with his mother? That might be the case. Or, young Ryder might be looking to spend more time with his father these days than his mother.
Kate Hudson loves to show off her happy family life with her ex, Matt Bellamy. In fact, the two often spend holidays together. But with Chris, it’s a different story. The ex-couple has not been photographed together in years.
So far Kate Hudson has not made any comments about her custody agreement. Do you think Chris Robinson is worried about Kate Hudson’s parenting skills?
