Kate Middleton has been left absolutely humiliated once again by her uncle Gary Goldsmith. That’s because Gary allegedly punched his wife Julie-Ann Goldsmith during a drunken fight outside of their apartment back in October. Gary denies the allegations.
According to reports, Gary supposedly punched his wife with a left hook after a dispute they had on the night of October 13. Gary hit Julie-Ann so hard that she had her eyes closed for about 15 seconds while she was out on the ground. Gary was arrested after the attack and has since plead guilty for assault by beating.
According to the BBC, Gary Goldsmith said he had pushed his wife hard but denied hitting her. Yet, Gary also was apologetic for his actions. Prosecutor Kate Shilton told a London court that Gary and Julie-Ann’s argument began in the back of a taxicab while they were making their way home from a charity event. The arrest also happened just a few hours after he posted a selfie with his wife Julie-Ann Goldsmith on his Twitter account.
Gary attended both Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding back in 2011 and Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthew back in May of this year. Many royal observers have noted that Gary Goldsmith didn’t appear in any Middleton family photos for both Kate and Pippa’s weddings. What’s more, reports say that even though Gary was invited to Pippa and James’ wedding, he attended the ceremony with his teenage daughter Tallulah, but not the reception.
Of course, Kate Middleton won’t be making any comments about this situation. As a matter of fact, it’s doubtful that Kate’s mother Carole Middleton will have anything to say about this as well. After all, Carole knows just how important her family’s reputation is in the press. She knows that her brother is making her look bad. That’s why she’s been doing everything in her power to keep her troublesome brother away from her and the British royals. The last thing she wants to do give an explanation for Gary’s awful behavior.
But at the same time, Carole won’t be able to avoid the press and their questions about her brother. That’s why she’s been keeping a rather low profile until all of this blows away. Carole can’t make Gary disappear but at the same time she can keep him as far away as possible from her and her children.
