Mariah Carey’s career is not looking so hot these days. In fact, there is a new report indicating that her reality television show, ‘Mariah’s World’ might get the axe after only one season on the small screen. The news comes after Mariah’s meltdown in front of millions of people during her disastrous New Year’s Eve performance. Mariah was visibly flustered when she struggled to lip-sync to her hit songs due to several stage malfunctions.
Reports indicate that ratings for ‘Mariah’s World’ have slumped drastically since the show debuted last month. Her premiere episode managed to draw in 2.2 million viewers. Since then, it’s slowly been on the decline.
Of course, no one knows what the next step for Mariah Carey is. Some say that this might be the beginning of the end of her career. Others say she’ll manage to pull through, despite her embarrassing and disastrous New Year’s Eve performance.
Whatever the case, producers are worried about the future of her reality television show. Some insiders were surprised that Mariah agreed to the reality show in the first place. After all, she used to be considered one of the biggest stars of the music industry. Unlike other up-and-coming musicians, Mariah shouldn’t need a reality show to promote her music or give her career a much-needed boost.
So far Mariah has not made any additional comments about her New Year’s Eve performance or the future of her reality show. Many of her close friends and family members want her to take a break from the spotlight. But, others say that’s not going to happen.
