Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton may not agree on why exactly they broke up and filed for a divorce, but Miranda is not letting that prevent her from throwing one final diss to Blake – the news that she’s getting ready to wed again.
A source tells Radar Magazine, “Miranda has refused to speak to Blake since their divorce. But she’s happy to hit him with the news that she’s fully ready to replace him!”
Blake Shelton has already moved on to another serious relationship with Gwen Stefani, so one would think that he wouldn’t care – however, recent reports have alleged that he still has feelings for his ex-wife, and hasn’t completely quite gotten over her completely.
The fact that Miranda moved on to her new boyfriend, Anderson East (who is also much younger than Blake), so soon after the divorce reportedly upset Blake, although he has taken great pains to hide that.
In the end, it will always sting when an ex-husband or ex-wife admits that they’re moving on, especially given that it has appeared to be somewhat of a race between Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert to see who’s over whom the quickest.
Both went into rebound relationships soon after their marriage ended, and both have been taking great pains to show off their new relationships to the public – and although Blake Shelton has an advantage there in that he and Gwen Stefani are obviously more tabloid-friendly (given the Voice and how famous they both are), Miranda might ‘beat’ Blake if she ends up getting married sooner than he does.
Miranda Lambert clearly agrees with that assessment – hence, this report. She may have refused contact with him since their divorce, but it’s legitimately impossible to cut out your exes from your life when you’re both famous.
Miranda obviously knows all about Blake’s new life, with his new girlfriend, and she would know where to cut deepest. In this case, it was with news of her impending marriage. And even if she doesn’t end up getting married to boytoy Anderson East, even the news that she’s considering it will cut deep enough.
