Paris Jackson is looking to make her big break in Hollywood. New reports indicate that Michael Jackson’s one and only daughter will appear on an episode of Lee Daniels’ Fox drama, ‘Star.’ Insiders say that Paris Jackson will play a character named Rachel Wells. She’s a stylish but aggressive social media professional who ends up pushing Eva and Star to do a publicity shoot.
So far, it looks like Paris will only appear on one episode. Although earlier reports said that Lee Daniels was hoping to cast Paris on his highly-rated drama ‘Empire’ as well. The director has made no indication that Paris will appear on that show as well.
So is Paris Jackson looking to become a Hollywood A-list star? Some fans believe that might be the case. Up until this point, she’s only been on television a few times. She appeared on one episode of ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’ in 2012 and was interview by Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show the following year. Yet it looks like fans will be seeing much more of Paris now that she’s looking to become an A-list star.
Paris recently opened up about her personal life and struggles in one of her biggest interviews ever. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Paris revealed that she attempted suicide multiple times after she was allegedly assaulted several years ago. She also said that she misses her father Michael Jackson everyday and believes that he was murdered back in 2009. Michael Jackson reportedly died from a cardiac arrest that was caused by a combination of prescription drugs.
Many fans were actually surprised to see Paris Jackson speak so candidly about her dark past to Rolling Stone. Is Paris talking to the press simply because she’s looking to generate publicity and hopefully keep her name in the headlines? Some believe that might be the case. After all, Paris is everywhere these days. She made her first solo appearance at the Golden Globes last month and landed a huge contract deal with Chanel. She was even spotted filming an ad campaign for the luxury brand in Paris.
What’s more, many of Paris’ critics have said that the young teen should be thinking about college rather than a career in Hollywood. Do you agree?
