Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are reportedly planning a summer wedding, news that’s sure to drive Justin Bieber up the wall if it’s anywhere close to being true. The new report from In Touch Weekly alleges that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are putting together plans to tie the knot in August, and that both of them can’t wait to get married and settle down.
In Touch’s source says, “She’s told pals that they’re planning to exchange vows in August once he finishes his ‘Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour.’ She knows The Weeknd is her soul mate and doesn’t want to spend years waiting to get married.”
The reported locales for the wedding are all over Europe, with the best designers being touted for Selena’s wedding dress. The supposed guest list is being kept under wraps, with only close friends and family allegedly being invited to this imaginary wedding.
The tabloids love the idea of Selena Gomez and The Weeknd hitching their wagons together, because it’s the first time in a long time that they’ve had such a powerhouse couple in Young Hollywood that are also magnets for drama and attention. Besides, there’s that whole Justin Bieber connection, i.e. the fact that Justin probably refreshes Selena’s name every night before going to bed, hoping that Selena somehow dumps the Weeknd and comes to her senses, running back to him.
There have also been reports that Selena Gomez is pregnant, which is why she’s supposedly rushing this wedding. However, there is no evidence to support that and, in fact, other sources state that Selena has been having drinking issues and health problems, which have caused her to keep out of the spotlight recently. Unfortunately for Selena, anytime she disappears from the public eye, her fans and the press are quick to jump to conclusions about what she is or is not doing.
