A new British reality television show is looking for the ultimate Meghan Markle look alike in Britain. Unfortunately though, none of the contestants look anything like the Suits actress.
According to reports, three women have made it to the final for the lookalike competition, hosted by television star Lorraine Kelly. One lucky woman will be crowned the winner of Have You Got That Markle Sparkle? She will win a 12-month contract with lookalike agency Susan Scott. The three finalists include 19-year-old Emma Kaler, 20-year-old Ashleigh Ridding and 25-year-old Ria Ginley. All three ladies are eagerly looking forward to becoming Britain’s ultimate Meghan Markle lookalike and are hoping to win the competition.
Meghan of course has no role in the television show. And it’s doubtful that she even wants to be involved in a competition show like this. For someone like Kate Middleton though, this is a little troubling. That’s because it also means that Meghan Markle is fast becoming one of the biggest names in the celebrity world. It will only be matter of time before she edges her out of the headlines. And that’s the last thing that Kate wants to see.
Meghan Markle isn’t even an official member of the royal family yet and she’s already managed to grab everyone’s attention. She’s beautiful, she’s well spoken and best of all, and she knows how to work a camera. It is also no surprise that some many women in Britain are spending a lot of money to look, dress and act just like her.
So far Meghan hasn’t made any comments about the lookalike competition. And that’s probably because none of the contestants look anything like her. Even royal observers know that the show isn’t what you would call a great compliment. Yet, this is only the beginning. It won’t be long until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle look-alikes pop up all over Britain in stores and supermarkets. After all, we’ve been seeing Prince William and Kate Middleton lookalikes for years now.
Some people have even made it their professional job to pretend to be and look like a member of the British royal family. Meghan might not like it, but it’s just something that she’ll have to get used to.
