The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack (Peter Bergman) has more Dina (Marla Adams) drama headed his way. He’s been trying to balance running Jabot with caring for Dina, but Ashley (Eileen Davidson) thought it was just too much for her brother. That led to Tuesday’s vote, December 19, which knocked Jack out of the CEO spot.
Jack will be furious initially, but he may be glad Ashley made a power play down the road. Although Ashley has formed a relationship with her mother again, it’s clear that Jack shares as stronger bond with Dina. He seems to be her favorite, so they’ll need a bit more closure than the others as Dina fades.
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that by stepping away from Jabot, Jack will have more time to devote to Dina’s care. However, the real benefit will be valuable time with his mom. Jack could always check Dina into an exclusive facility if he wanted to. He could give Dina the best care that money can buy. Instead, Jack would rather do this himself and that means making sacrifices.
Ashley forced him into the latest one, but Jack should see the benefits soon enough. The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Dina’s rapid decline will continue. Ever since Dina’s stroke, her heartbreaking episodes have become more frequent. Y&R fans can expect more of those episodes in the weeks ahead.
It’ll be tough for Jack to tackle this crisis, but at least he won’t have to worry about Jabot profits and deals. He’ll be able to savor the moments of what little time Dina has left. Based on the way this storyline’s been playing out, that may not be much time at all. It feels like The Young and the Restless is quickly moving this plot along.
Y&R will give Dina one last Christmas with her family before she begins to forget them. The Abbotts deserve a heartfelt holiday as they get ready to tell Dina goodbye. Marla Adams has delivered some great performances and many fans are going to miss Dina’s role as resident firecracker.
Nevertheless, Dina’s death is indeed looming and we all need to prepare for it. The same goes for the Abbott clan. A tearful farewell is inevitable for this family.
