The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that some shocking departures are hitting the CBS soap. The latest comings and goings news is sure to shake things up. For starters, Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) is entering the witness protection program. After all that work to find her, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) still can’t be with her sister!
Sadly, that’s just the way it goes on a daytime drama. It seems Morgan Obenreder has wrapped her stint for now, but you never know what the future holds on Y&R. Tamara Clatterbuck’s (Alice) stint is coming to a close as well. After getting mowed down by a speeding car, death or at least severe injuries should officially take Alice out of this storyline.
Greg Rikaart will finish his current stint as Kevin by the end of the week. It was nice to see Kevin again, but he’s served his purpose for the time being. Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plot was successful and advice has been given to Mariah (Camryn Grimes). It’s up to each of them to carry on from here.
Tina Ivlev has been playing Natalia, another girl who’s trapped in the sex ring. Now that Crystal is safe, perhaps it’s Natalia’s turn to get some help. Once the sex ring crumbles, Ivlev’s stint will conclude. She’s also been featured on Days of Our Lives, so maybe another soap opportunity will emerge for Ivlev down the road.
The end is in sight for Zack (Ryan Ashton), too. There’s no final airdate set for Ryan Ashton yet, but it’s tough to believe he can wiggle out of trouble. Look for Zack to land in hot water along with his right-hand man, Leon (Renes Rivera). Their days are clearly numbered on The Young and the Restless!
Now’s a good time to throw in an important reminder. Beth Maitland’s return as Traci is getting closer and we don’t want you to miss it. Don’t forget to tune in for her visit on October 9. Traci will pass along some information that affects the Abbott clan in a big way.
In other casting news, a Y&R alum has secured a spot on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Eva Marcille (ex-Tyra Hamilton) just joined the cast of RHOA season 10. Tyra was around from 2008-2009, so anyone who’s been missing her may want to check out Marcille’s new gig.
