The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) relationship, if one can call it that, with Gloria (Judith Chapman) will be exposed to Genoa City. Many potential Columbo’s (a reference to a fabled TV detective played by the late, great Peter Falk) exist in this fictional Wisconsin town. Who among them will be the one to learn about and then expose Glack?
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is often nosing around her brother’s personal affairs. Her concern is generally well-founded and in this particular instance was actually foretold through a solid sibling recommendation. Jack didn’t listen to Ash and thus his Gloria problem came to pass. Ashley’s proximity to her brother makes her a prime candidate to learn all first.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) knows how Jack’s mind works as well as anyone. She’s also returned to the Jabot building through the business arrangement that Lauren (Tracey Bregman) re-engineered. The former Red was the first person who was told, by Jack himself, that he and Gloria were an item. While she didn’t believe them then, or now, Phyllis’ keen instincts remained raised.
Now that Fenmore’s has a minority stakeholder, Lauren will be visiting Jack regularly. Any one of those meetings could be preceded by Jack, or her mother-in-law talking out of turn and being overheard. Recklessness put Jack into this predicament and could also dig him deeper into his hole.
Ravi (Abhi Sinha) treads gingerly around his employer’s office whenever he’s working. He keeps odd hours and could easily overhear, or accidentally see something. Said situation would surely put him in position to tell his crush, Ashley, whatever he learns.
Kevin (Greg Rikaart) was likely informed by Michael (Christian LeBlanc) of their mother’s strange new job. Mr. Fisher is a hacker and currently works for the GC Police Department. A few clicks could allow Kevin to read his mother’s text messages and learn about the blackmail she’s enforcing against Jack.
Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was threatened by Gloria during the Christmas season. Her ex-mother-in-law advised that she would learn Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) paternity secret and expose it. Gloria is living with Khloe, which adds to the irritant Chloe feels. Yes, Bella’s mom is motivated to bring Gloria down a peg or even fully neutralize her.
Of course there are plenty of other character candidates on Y&R. Any one of the named, or unnamed individuals could discover why Jack is living under Gloria’s control. As soon as that happens, depending upon the person, Jack’s life, or possibly Gloria’s as well, could be radically changed.
